Frequently asked Questions
Q. Can you tell me about your preschool?
A. The Shaloh House Preschool & Early Childhood Care of Stoughton has been serving families in the south shore for over twenty years. We are licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education & Care. Bright and cheerful classrooms, a large well equipped outdoor playground, Early Childhood licensed teachers, and an intimate environment will welcome your child.
Q. What about your curriculum?
A. We believe that it is never too early for a child to learn. A lot of emphasis is placed on teaching children to understand the world around them. We work to strengthen their fine and gross motor skills. As they get older they begin to explore nature and people that influence their lives. Learning takes place through hands-on activities. Early literacy and math skills help them develop their pre-reading and writing skills to successfully prepare them for their post-preschool education.
Q. How is Judaica brought into the curriculum?
A. Through stories, songs, and finger plays, Hebrew vocabulary, holidays, customs and ceremonies are incorporated into our everyday curriculum. Each Friday we have a Shabbat celebration which adds a festive and joyous twist to the day. Holiday learning frequently includes a classroom baking project; adding another element to the festive learning experience.
